    Notes:
    At the time of the Revolutionary War, Prince lived opposite Westport
    Point onthe Horse Neck, where he had a salt works using water from the
    river. He wasa cooper by trade. After the War, he bought a farm on the
    East side of the Westport River about 2 miles below Westport Village. He
    worked the farm and made casks for the New Bedford whale oil trade.

    Notes:
    His will, naming son John as executor, was dated Jan. 20, 1784 and was
    provedMay 3, 1791. He was a farmer with 40 acres, located a short
    distance north of Central Village, near the cemetery where he was buried.
    He was a follower of Anna Wilkenson. He injured his health by fasting 40
    days, falling a victimto measles in his weakened condition.
