Mrs. Dr. Badger, notice of whose serious sickness had been givenin these columns, died early last Sunday morning, June 6th, atthe advanced age of 72 years, leaving her husband and onedaughter, Mrs. Holiday, of Kansas City, Missouri, she being theonly child living. The Dr. and Mrs. Badger were among theearliest settlers in this part of the country, coming here inthe year 1872 and saw this country rise from a wilderness to arichly settled country and were known and respected by every onewho now deeply sympathize with the bereft husband who is leftalone in his declining years. The funeral occurred from thehome Monday, at two o'clock, conducted by Elder Babcock and Rev.Miles, with interment in the North Loup Cemetery. | Samantha L. MAXSON
