John Miner was baptized on 30 aug 1635 in Charlestown, Ma., so
n of Thomas. He spelled his name Minor and so did most of his d

g men, however, ultimately left their studies. In 1658 he move
d to Stratford Ct where he married Elizabeth Booth duaghter of R
ichadrd anhd Elizabeth of Stratford on 19 Oct 1658. They settle
d in what is now Woodbury, Ct in 1673 where he was town clerk fo
r 30 years before dyig thereon 17 September 1719. She died o

pposed to have been descended from a nephew of George Washington
, but so far have found no traces of this. It may be that her d
escent from Gen. Joseph Spencer got mixed up with this.
