MR. AND MRS. NOREN
Wedding vows were exchanged recently in Danielson between Pattie AnnDucat and Carl Edwin Noren. The bride is the daughter of Mr. Leroy Ducatof Cady Street, Danielson and the late Mrs. Anita Ducat. Parents of thegroom are Mrs. and Mrs. Edwin St. Pierre, Jr. of David Road, Plainfield.
The couple were married at the home of the brides parents followedby a folk mass in St. James Church. Rev. Emile Dusseault officiated.
The bride chose a gown of white silk organza fashioned with a QueenAnne neckline and long sheer sleeves. The bodice enhanced with Veniselace daisies and the full skirt, encircled with a deep ruffle, flowedinto a chapel length train. For her headpiece she wore a Camelot cap fromwhich fell a multi-tier veil of illusion edged in Venise lace.
Maid of honor was Cecile Ducat of Danielson. The bridesmaids wereDonna Ducat and Jeanne Augar, also both of Danielson.
Best Man was Michael Fortin of Plainfield with guests ushered byBruce Bouley of Plainfield and Wayne Ducat of Danielson.
Following a reception in the church hall, the couple left on awedding trip to Washington, DC. They will reside in Pomfree Center.
The bride a 1973 graduate of Killingly High School, attendedQuinebaug Valley Community College. She is a press operator at DeltaRubber Co. in Danielson.
Mr. Noren graduated in 1973 from Plainfield High School in 1974 fromThames Valley State Techinical College. He is a senior draftsman of theDelta Rubber Co.
PLAINFIELD MAN HIT BY CAR, DIES
A Plainfield man was killed Thursday evening when he apparently raninto the path of a car on Pomfret Street.
Carl Noren, 42, of 78 Canterbury Road, was pronounced dead onarrival at Day Kimball Hospital a short time after the 6:30 accident.
Putnam police, who released few details of the accident, said thecar was driven by Richard Coderre, 55, of Munyan Road, Putnam. He washeaded west on Pomfret Street (Route 44).
The accident happened a short distance east of the hospital, nearthe bottom of the section of road commonly known as "Hospital Hill."
Police said they have closed their investigation and no charges willbe lodged against the driver.
CARL E. NOREN, JR., 42, of Plainfield, died on June 19, 1997. Husband for19 years of Pattie (Ducat) Noren, father of Kenneth Noren and MatthewNoren, both of Plainfield, son of Lois (Holdridge) (Noren) St. Pierre andstepson of Edwin St. Pierre of Plainfield. He attended Waterford schoolsbefore his family moved to Plainfield. Mr. Noren graduated fromPlainfield High in 1973 and then studied mechanical drafting at ThamesValley State Technical College in Norwich. In 1974 he joined Delta Rubberas a tooling engineer, working there for 19 years. He enjoyed computers,was an avid golfer and often ran in road races. Mr. Noren was a member ofthe Pachaug Outdoor Club. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Danielson. | Carl Edwin NOREN, Jr.
