!He was a farmer. He was chosen Deacon of the First Church in Hartford in 1691. Moved tothe east side of the river before his father's death, and was the first Deaconof the church in East Hartford. He was one of the Committee on building the meeting house, and for locating forts for defence against the Indians. Was Fence Viewer in 1678/1679, surveyor in 1693, selectman in 1703. His house stood onthe meadow hills, on the site now occupied by the house of the late Ashbel Olmsted, Esq. The farm has always been in the possession of the family.

Lee fell out of a tree while a young man and seriously injured one of his arms.
George Olmstead came to visit from Cleveland one time and laid a $100 gold
piece on Lee's shoulder andtold him if he could bend his arm up and touch it
he could have it. Lee triedand tried, but never could reach it.

December 1593. Then there is a burial record of a Mary Olmsted dying in
December 1594. I'm not sure if this is the one who died in 1594 or the second
Mary. There is only one record of a Mary dying.
