Susannah belonged to the Rootstown Presbyterian church. Look for her burial there. She died either 4 Jan 1881 or 4 Jan 1887.

97 1852 Thomas Poe commanded the sternwheeler moountain boat, the Georgetown. Various trips were made to the upper Missouri River. The boat stabbed a snag - fatally - up there in 1855.
1881 30 Dec Captain Thomas Poe was living with his daughter, Mrs. Clara Poe Blythe, in St. Louis, MO, when he died. His body was returned to Georgetown for burial.
42-4 Thomas Poe was Captain and part owner of the riverboat, the Nick Wall, which ran into a river bank near Napoleon, Arkansas. Martha was killed when her rescue was attempted. She was hit on the head by an axe. Thomas Poe also owned shares in the boats, the Amelia Poe,
the Clara Poe, the Clifton, the Fearless and the Mary E. Poe.
Captain Thomas Poe and both of his wives are buried in the Georgetown Cemetery. Thomas died 30 Dec 1881 in his 62nd year. Phebe died 28 jun 1855, age 37-8-11.

Research done by Don Milligen, Kent, Washington, provided the names of Elizbeth's husband and children. She was described from his records as a daughter of Jacob and Dorthea Hephner.
