BIRTH:
Birth and death information obtained from the webpage at http://www.dcgs.org/downers/page182.htm
Although Henry lists his place of birth as Cleveland, Ohio on his World War II draft registration card, this seems unlikely since his father and mother arrived in the USA with him and several of his siblings in 1887 and he was born in 1882.

Received this information from Gerald Pokorny who has a Rozhon in his family line. There is no confirmation that this Rozhon is related but because of the proximity to Vystrkov (directly across the river), it's hard to imagine that they aren't related.

I just recieved information from Czech. that I may be related to the Rozhon family.
Jan Rozhon, from Podskali, and his wife Rosalie (last name unknown) had a daughter Marie.
Marie married Josef Drabek b. 1-25-1788 and was from Varvazov and Bukovany. Marie was his second wife. Josef Drabek's parents were Simon Drabek, from Sedlice and Varvazov, and Anna Pecka. Josef Drabek and Marie Rozhon had a son Matej Drabek b. 5-31-1892 he lived in Bukovany, Sedlecko and Pribram. Matej Drabek was married to Barbora Vlna from Sedlecko and had Vaclav Drabek b. 9-8-1883 in Sedlecko. Barbora Vlna's parents were Josef Vlna from Sedlecko and Barbora Fort from Zahorany. Vaclav in my great grandfather. He had several siblings and came to America in 1904 at the age of 21. His father Matej was coal minner and died in a minning accedent.
Does any of this information sound familliar? Do you think there may be a connection with our families? Any information about any of these people would be a great help. Keith Thomas | Jakub (or Jan) ROZHON, of Podskali

RESIDENCES:
1880 - 44 Anson Road, Cleveland (per 1880 census)
RESIDENCES:
Nearby, at 38 Anson, there was a Frank and Mary Kuderna. I mention this only because in our line, Marie Rozhon married a Karel Kudrna and was living on Dolloff Ave which intersects with Anson (will have to check on the known addresses to see how close by they were) so it's possible that Frank might have been a relative of Karel's.
Update -- , checked on those addresses and 64 Dolloff (Marie's home) was closer to McBride Avenue intersect -- a few blocks away. It was on the west side of the street. James lived on the south side of Anson.
RESIDENCES:
James can't be Marie's brother because he was born much too early. Her brother was born in 1872. So who is this Rozhon? The name is spelled ROZHUN on the census. | James ROZHON

John may have been related somehow, but no living family member knows who he was. Because of the approximate year of birth (1854), he could be a son of Jan or Josef Rozhon (sons of Pavla) and thus an Uncle of Marie (Rozhon) Tomsik. The death certificate does not list his parent's names.
He was NOT living at the Newark address at the time of the 1930 census.

DEATH:
John is listed in the 1880 census at 12 yrs of age, but is not listed in his father's obituary in 1895 which leads me to believe that he may have died in the intervening years.
DEATH:
Illinois Statewide Death Index, Pre-1916, lists a John Rozhon, died Sep 24, 1890, in Chicago, age 21 years (Cert #00011846). This is a strong possibility for this individual's (RIN 3, Custom ID 5.1) date of death. | John ROZHON, Jr.
