There may be two Adam's in Cleveland at the time of this marriage. One may have spelled his name SLIVA. He also had a brother named Frank. Attempt to unravel this family connection.
QUESTION from Sandra Rozhon:
In my possession, a 1934 photo labeled:
Helen M. Sliwa and Clara Sliwa
94 Gibson St.
Buffalo, N.Y.
(One or both are wearing Communion outfits)
Are these the daughters of Adam and Antoinette?
REPLY:
The answer is probably, no.First that does not look like my mother or my aunt.My mother, Helen would have been 19 and my aunt Clara several years older. My mother's middle initial was "T".
----Jim Broz
CONCLUSION:
Upon checking the records at St. Barbara's in Cleveland, Helen and Clara, daughters of Adam and Antoinette, made their Communion in 1923.
