White and on thesouth by Charles P. White and Reuben S. and Bila W. P. Bennett, and onthe west by the highway leading from Pawcatuck Bridge to Voluntown,containing by estimation 40 acres, more or less, meaning and intending toconvey all the land and buildings that was set to the three of us in thedistribution of the Estate of our father, William Slocum.

NOTE: This in 1968 is the Martin Browne property at Laurel Glen. Duringthe ownership of the 3 brothers above, boundary on the north continued tothe Perry Kinyon, later Kenyon; EAST was the Bentley lot and land ofCharles P. White -- while later it was EAST by Azariah Maine and CharlesP. White; on the SOUTH it was White and R. A. Bennett & Son, while laterit was White and Reuben S. and Bila W. P. Bennett, probably the samepersons. The WEST continued to be the highway, later described as thehighway leading from Pawcatuck Bridge to Voluntown.

Another record says Lebby was born at Pleasant Valley Township, PA. In the 1870 Census the family was living at Mount Pleasant, Westmoreland Co., PA. 1880 the family was found in Pleasant Valley Township, near Pawnee Rock, in Pawnee County, Kansas. The family lived for two years in a dugout at Pawnee Rock. Nextthey moved to Dresden Township in Kingman Co., Kansas where they lived in a three room sod house which they built. Lebby's father ran acane mill there. Lebby owned a general store in Penalosa, Kingman Co., Kansas. The store carried everything from hardware to lace. He took part in the Cherokee Land Run in Oklahoma, 11 April 1889. He lived at Garber Oklahoma until his wife's death in 1901. He returned to Kansas, and later moved to Coffee Creek, Montana where he died.

Robert Morris Williams was born 1856 and died 1931. He Married America Angeline Smith.(date?) They spent the first year of their marriage on his fathers farm in Marcellon, Wis. In 1869 they moved to Pardeeville, Wisconsin where Robert worked as a Blacksmith. Between 1869 and 1898. Robert worked at 10 different jobs and moved to 13 different towns. The jobs he held were: Blacksmith, Carpenter, Telegrapher, Lumberjack, Hunter, Farmer, Practical Hypnotist, Newspaper Editor, Photographer, and Boater. The towns in which he resided were: Pardeeville, Wis.; Portage Wis.; Medford Wis., Chippewa Crossing, Wis.; Bayfield, Wis.; Glidden, Wis.; Norwich, New York; Fairport, Iowa; Decatur, Ala.; Huntsville, Ala.; Florence, Ala.; and Nashville, Tennessee. One person said of him, "he was intellectually well-equipped but financially bankrupt." He said of himself, " The world do move, the cranks do move it" Thus, he named his newspaper in Pardeeville, Wis. "The Crank".
