  • Notes
    • BIRTH:
Year of birth calculated from his age (as listed on marriage license) of 25 in 1917 giving year as 1892, however, the gravestone shows year as 1894. My assumption is that the license would be more accurate since Walter would have provided the information. Even better is the WWII draft record where he provided his birth as Oct 15, 1893.

      OCCUPATION:
House painter and did odd jobs.

      IMMIGRATION:
There is a Wladyslaw Lisek in a Port of NYC manifest for the Kronprinz Frederich Wilhelm (port of departure -- Bremen, Germany) on Jun 1, 1909. His destination was Buffalo, NY. His last residence was Rezyca. His father's name was Augustyn Lisek. Until there is some verification found for Walter's year of birth, there's no way to be sure this is his immigration record.
Note (12 Jul 2003) - Walter's father's name was listed as Felix on his marriage license, so the above mentioned Wladyslaw is probably NOT Walter.

      IMMIGRATION:
(added 23 Mar 2003) The 1930 census has 1912 as the year that Walter arrived in this country, so the above information is additional confirmation that this was another Wladyslaw.

      NATURALIZATION:
      Yes

      CENSUS:

      RESIDENCES:

      1920 - bought property on E. 49th St.
      1922 - sold property on E. 49th St.
1920 - 6727 Chambers Ave., Cleveland, Ohio (per 1920 census)
1924 - bought property on Durkee
1928 - sold property on Durkee
      1930 - 3635 East 113th St., Cleveland, Ohio (per 1930 census)
      1942 - 3635 East 113th St., Cleveland, Ohio

      DEATH:
Died from Cerebral hemm., 2 days after their 25th anniversary party.
