Barbour did not give a date.  Date of 11 JAN 1780 possibly came from DAR record from the "Boston Transcript" for February 1910.  Bob Gardner  has a letter written by Erastus Brewster Hillard in 1894 that gives date as 1 JUN 1780. I don't have an Erastus Brewster Hillard in my data base. Could he mean Elias Brewster Hillard? |
