Otsego Co. Surrogate's office. Then on to Land Records search. Inquiries
are also in to Town Clerks and Historians.
3)RRW - has name as Osias. Have also seen Ozious

 state of Connecticut
 sept. the 18, 1778
 5) Baptism - from 'Births, Baptisms, Marriages and Deaths from the
 Records of the Town and Churches of Mansfield, Connecticut, 1703-1850';
(NEHGS Photoduplication, 1997, New York: The Baker & Taylor Co., 1898; by
 Dimock, Susan W.
 6) Regarding the date Ozias left Connecticut and came to New York -
The marriage date of August 6, 1802, and the PLACE - SHARON, NY as
taken from the Martin Southworth Family Bible (July 2001), show that
Ozias was definitely in NewYork by 1802 at the very least, and most
likely by 1801, as there had to have been time for them to meet, etc.
Demmis Rowley's family was already in Schoharie County as of the 1800
census. It is possible that Ozias passed throughSharon, on his way to
Otsego Co., thereby meeting young Demmis. The families Rowley, Fuller,
Stetson, Southworth are just a few of the Connecticut contingent to come
to the areas of Otsego and Schoharie Counties in New York in the late
1700-early1800's, and as the Genealogy reports show, were intermarried,
some quite densely. Just because Ozias is not shown as owning land right
away, doesn't mean he wasn't there. Also, just because he is not on a
Censusas a Head of Household, doesn't mean he wasn't there. He could be
enumeratedunder another household, or be one of those who is simply
shown by first nameinitial, and whoever transcribed it, may have
mistaken an 'O' for a 'D', aswas done in the Census Index (as shown
below), not having the knowledge of family relationships to help figure
out what the letter should have stood for,and not knowing how to
transcribe old script. He may have come between censusyears, ie., after
the 1800 census, and definitely before the 1820, when he is first and
definitely enumerated under his full name. However, the NY 1810 Census
Index, op cit, shows a number of Southworths as follows: Note the errors:
 SOUTHWORTH:
 D. Otsego p149 10010-20 should read? 10110-20 per New Lisbon
 sheet (below), difficult to read
 G. Otsego p149 30010-31
 J. Otsego p131 11201-21
 L.L. Otsego p149 10110-10
 S. Otsego p142 21010-00
As can be seen on the 1810 Census sheet for New Lisbon, sent by
 Virgina Schoradt:
The 'D' shown above has been mistranscribed - it should read: 'O'
 for Ozias.
Likewise, the 'L. L.' is clearly an 'S. S.' for Samuel Stetson
 'G' is Gurley
I have no idea as yet who the 'J' or 'S' could be, but they, too,
could be a mistranscription. The page Virginia sent is notcomplete. The
'J' may be Rev. James Southworth
 7) As for Place of Death - Virginia sent excerpts of G.C. Southworth's
work on Hiram Southworth, In whichhe states that Ozias 'probably died
near Columbus, [Chenengo Co.] NY.' According to G.C. Southworth, Ozias
 had property in C
