McLean, 69, died Oct. 24, 1957, in a Binghamton hospital after a long illness. Mr. McLean was born March 9, 1888 in Oswego, a son of Nelson and Mettia Mann McLean. He married Ella Southworth on Jan. 19, 1912. He attended Hartwick Methodist Church and was a former employee of the Southern New York Railroad. He was a former employeee of the county and town highway department. For the pastfew years he was a farmer. He had lived in Hartwick most of his life. He leaves his wife; six sons, Nelson of Sherburne, Lyle of Burlington Flats, Clyde,Leonard and Arnold, all of Hartwick; 10 daughters, Mrs. Abram Hughes of Oneonta, Mrs. Alfred Osborn of Burlington Flats, Mrs. Edna Sparks of Binhamton, Mrs. Thomas Crockford of Freeville, Mrs. Lynn Eastman of South Lansing, Mrs. Harold Scrivener of New Berlin, Mrs. Louis O'Blak of Hartwick, Mrs. Arthur Herrschaft of Centereach, L.I., Mrs. Franklin Stewart and Albeama McLean of Hartwick; 50 grandchildren; a great grandchild, a brother, Howard McLean of Elizabeth, Colo., and aunt, Mrs. Ella Mann of Hartwick; several nieces, nephewsand cousins. The funeral will be at 2 Monday from the Methodist Church in Hartwick, the Rev. John Wolfe, pastor, officiating.
