  Cause of Death: Tuberculosis Research and source notes: Deborah Sweet - 1) From Bob Gates, e-mail, 5/24/2001 dob, mar. dod info. He was listed on the rolls of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, East Haddam on May 4, 1831, and his wife was admitted to this church on June 20, 1833. He died, 4/20/1833, ae 67 of tuberculosis and she d. 2/19/11868. Their deaths were recorded at the First Church of East Haddam and they were buried in the First Church Cemetery,E.Haddam. No children (his refs, see Gates Family Books by Bob Gates: 1, 41,201, 203, 220). NOTE: he has him as born in 'Chatham(East Hampton)', but thisis not in the Barbour Collection for Chatham, need to check for a Barbour forEast Hampton.
