  Fred H Seelye, the son of Charles Wesley and Sarah Frances Seelye was born, April 17, 1866 at < Minnesota. He married, Marie Denoist, born, Pine Ridge, CD. To this union were born, George Seelye and Wanneita Seelye. Denoist isof Indian origin. Little is know of Fred's disappearance as Marie spent about $4000,00 trying to find him as she inherited quite a bit of money. This alltook place in the Long Beach area of California. It was always felt in the family of his father that he knew where he was. Information passed down by Roger Xanders, grandson of Mary Anna (Seelye) Tarbell. Fred can be found in the1900 Census of Hughes Co. SD. town of Pierre. With his father and mother and family. Age as listed was 34 years. Note: 10 March 1996. Virginia May (Sunkel) Macek. Where are the children??? Could Wanneita be Juanita? - if thiscame from Roger Xanders and his sources that's a possibility. Note: once Irecall hearing my mother mention that my father, at the request of some Seelye's family members made a trip to Cincinnati and environs in search of Fred Seelye. Rumors were issued that he may be in the area - but his efforts (Louis) proved fruitless, they said.
