Designed by Cleveland architect Frederick N. Striebinger as a Classical Revival style and built in 1906.

Although the church is no longer used, it is on the National Register of Historic Places, having been added on March 19, 1987.

The site is the location of the log cabin built by early settler, James Fish when he arrived here from Connecticut in 1811. The log cabin was replaced by a frame house which was later moved back to the rear of this property and turned to face Mapledale Ave.
