    Notes:
    EARLY PIONEER of CLEVELAND - arrived in 1798 with his wife, four children and his nephew, Seth Doan (son of Nathaniel's brother Timothy).

    OCCUPATION: Built a blacksmith shop and ran Doan's Tavern (a log cabin). In 1817, two years after he died, his son Job rebuilt the tavern as a frame building.
