This is a son fo Mathias Shanor who married Sophronia Poe and had five sons,
Henry, Adam, David, George, and Mathias Jr.
In turn this Mathias Shanor jr, married Nancy Welch and had a son named
Mathias. Upon the death of Mathias Jr. in 1850, who by now was a Sr. and his
son Jr. the son petioned in the Orphans Court of Venango County in November
1856, for a divison of the estate, to all heirs. Not much else is found on

In the petition in the Orphans Court of Venango Co., PA., it was disclosed
that she had married Anthony Luzen and they had three children; Nancy Ann,
Elizabeth Jane, and a son whose name began with a "B" the rest was not
readable. They were minor children at this time, 1856. Sophriana Shanor
Luzen having died a few weeks before her father, about February 1850. No date
of marriage or ages of the children given.
