    He could be named after his grandfather.

    This and the other Matthias Shanor/er born in 1815 may be duplicates or not. Their wives, Mary and Margaret Hanes/Hains, may or may not be sisters. Their children may or may not be erroneous entries or they may be named after one another, if so, their years of birth may be 1 year off or so. If the wives/children in these two families are crossed, the Mary Hanes (with her children) that is the spouse of Matthias, son of David Shanor, seems to be more valid than Matthias, son of Matthias.[George Jacob Poe.FTW]
