1973 23 Nov Hoffman states that Henry Shanor was a son of Matthias Shanor and Sophroina Poe. His descendants have a family reunion at Lamartine on the 3rd Sunday in August every year. 1975 22 Nov Hoffman says Henry was born in eastern PA near the MD border and lived there his entire life. ???

What about the 1775 Henry? Is the 1757 Henry a dupe or a brother of Matthias???? Maybe these two Henry's had a middle name that differentiated them???? The confusion may come from the fact that Matthias may have had at least 4 brothers (George, Adam, Henry, and John), at least 3 of whom he named his sons after. See Matthias' notes.
