His folks moved with him to Stark City, Missouri. He served in the o
rdinance Department of the U.S. Army for one year and eight months. H
e received his discharge in November 1919. While in the service, hi
s health failed and at the time of his death, Dec 28, 1920, he was i
n a government hospital at Webb City, Missouri.
