  1. John HINCKLEY b. 11 Sep 1733, Brunswick, Cumberland County, Maine; c. 25 Oct 1733, Scarboro,,Maine; d. 28 Jul 1779, Babaduce (Castine), Maine.

    Notes:
    John Hinckley died while commanding a company in the expedition toPenobscot against the British.

    He served on Board of Selectmen in Georgetown from 1769 to 1771 & 1774 to1776. He served in the Revolutionary War. He moved to Georgetown with hisparents in 1742 and lived at one time on a farm in Georgetown center,which he sold to John Parker on April 4, 1767, containing 121 acres onRobinhood Cove. He bought salt marsh on Parkers Island from John Oliveron May 21, 1764, and sold land on Robinhood Cove, Georgetown, Maine in1777.
