O. ALLEN, was born at Alfred, Allegany Co., N.Y., March 17,1826. He was theson of Abram and Dorcas Allen. In 1842, hemoved with his parents to Milton, Rock Co., Wis.. He commencedthe study of medicine under the instructions of Ebenezer RIDER,M. D., at Milton, finishing at Rush Medical College, of Chicago,andthe College of Physicians and Surgeons, of New York. He wasmarried to Almeda E. COON Dec. 30, 1847. In the spring of 1856,he removed with his family to Austin, Mower Co., Minn., where hepracticed his profession for fourteen years, removing again inthe year of 1870, back to his old home in Milton, Wis., where henow resides.

A. O. ALLEN, druggist and pharmacist, Milton Junction; born inMilton, Wis., March 1, 1854; son of Dr. O. and Mrs. A. E. ALLEN,who came to Rock Co. in 1830; he was taken by his parents at theage of 2 years, to Minnesota; in 1867, he returned to Milton toobtain and education at the college; when through the classicalstudies at that institution, he went to the Alfred University,Allegany Co., N.Y., and there graduated; returned to Milton in1877; he went to the Rocky Mountains to see the country,combining business with pleasure, worked in the mines, herdedcattle and clerked in a drug store at Black Hawk, Gilpin Co.,Colo.; if published, his sight-seeing and experience would filla large volume; in the fall of 1878, returned home and boughthis father's drug store at Milton Junction.
