Rowland Stebbins was an intimate friend of William Pyncheon,founder ofSpringfield,Mass.,who came from the same place in Engand,so in 1639 heremoved from Roxbury to Springfield and later he and his son John wereamong the founders of Northampton,Mass.,where Rowland Stebbinsdied,Dec.1671(Genealogy of the Stebbins Family,Willis MerrillStebbins,p.21)
