    "About 1845 the Riley Creek Baptist Society was organized, Timothy Main,Nathaniel Main and Sabeers Main, and their wifves then constituting thechurch. In 1852 or 1853 the society, which had obtained quite a largemembership, erected a fram building in the northeast corner of Section23, and this was the first house of worship built in Orange Twonship. Itis yet standing, and was used til the erection of the present brickedifice in 1871 just north of the old structure."
