She was perhaps the last pensioner of the battle of Stonington,Conn., during the War of 1812. She was the great-granddaughter of ElderSimeon Brown, of No. Stonington. At her funeral, it was stated that shewas always proud to know that she was a descendant of so worthy agrandsire as Elder Simeon Brown.
