    Obtained a doctor of veterinary medicine degree from Kansas StateCollege.
    Served in World War I in the continental U.S. as an infantrylieutenant.
    Served in World War II in the Veterinary Corps as a major.
    He practiced veterinary medicine with the U.S. Department ofAgriculture before WWII. Heretired from the Biomedical Services Corps as a lieutenant colonel aftermore than 20 years of service. In subsequent years he was self employed .He was a member of the Central Christian Church.
