    In the 1850 census, David appears with his wife Catherine, daughters Mary and Susan, and a 7 year old girl named Esther Lloyd. No explanation as to who she is or why she is listed with the family.

    In the 1860 census, the following appear: David (44), Catherine (42), Mary (24), Susan (18), and David Sheldon. Esther is not listed.

    In the 1870 census, there is a David age 54 (approx birth of 1816 which fits the above obituary. His wife is Catherine (52) born N.Y., there's a Mary E. (age 31), Ja.M. Curtiss (30), Ruth (6) (dgtr of Curtiss family).
