    Alfred Cheney was in Co. H, 19th Michigan Infantry during the Civil War, going from Atlanta to the sea with Gen. Sherman. He is the subject of a Biographical Sketch from "Album of Branch County, Michigan" published by Chicago-Chapman Bros. 1888. He lived in Kinderhook, Branch Co., MI with his family.
