Notes:
Ora Crandall died at a Red Wing hospital Wednesday at 3 p.m, after a week's serious illness. He had however been in ill health for several years.
Mr. Crandall was born in Pine Island township on the present Rudolph Grossbach farm 72 years ago last Feb. 22. He spent all his life in this vicinity, residing near the village.
About 50 years ago he married Mrs. Harriet (Youngs) Smith, who survives him, together with an adopted son, David. He also leaves three sister, Mrs. Elphia Teague, Minneapolis. Mrs. Mede Carlon, Mazeppa and Mrs. Al Mitchell, Rochester. Another sister, Mrs. Joe Reneaux, died last week and a brother, J. H. Crandall passed away several years ago.
The funeral will be held Friday at ?.?. m. from the house and 2 p.m from the M.E. church, Rev. Gene ? officiating . Interment will be in the Mazeppa cemetery.

DOUBLE DROWNING
About 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon Ben Crandall, aged 12 years and Elias Sibley, aged 11 years, were drowned in the Zumbro river near Mr. Sibley's residence, a few miles S. E. of this village. The lads were in swimming and ventured to far, getting into water that was to deep for them and being unable to swim. The bodies were recovered quickly. The one is the son of Orrie Crandall and the other is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Sibley. The parents have the sympathy of all in their bereavement. The funeral occurs this afternoon at 2 o'clock.
