    A personal account book in the possession of Earl P. Crandallshows that he was a stage driver and frequently took passengersto Providence. While en route he also delivered mail as well asnewspapers.
    According to this same document, he was also a teacher in bothExeter and Charlestown Public Schools in the mid-1800's.
    He was Justice of the Peace in Charlestown, RI in May 1838.
    He wasan Ensign in the 1st Light Infantry Co. in the 2ndRegiment of the Rhode IslandMilitia in May 1829.
    He was the Public Notary in Charlestown, RI in 1838.
