    Passenger, Jany 6th, 1635 in the ship "Thomas & Johns"
    Richard Lombard, Manager

    "Transactions of the Devonshire Association of 1963" lists both Thomas and
    Matthew Allen and families as emigrants to Camnridge Mass. on April 10, 1632,
    aboard the ship "Charles".

    Thomas eventually moved to Barnstable Mass.

    Thomas made was a freeman in 1652.

    Surveyor of highways.

    Thomas was a yeoman.

    Sold 8 July 1641 hs house and lands in Barnstable, Devon, England.
    Records: Req. L504 Freeman Plymouth Colony, 3 June 1952.

    Sold land at Watertown in 1655.

    Will dated 28 Feb 1675 and proved 5 March 1670-80

    Matthew the fifth son Of Richard moved to Connecticut and founded a branch of
    the family there.

    Matthew, son of Richard A. of Braun-ton, Devon., Cambridge, rpopr. 1633; frm. March 4, 1634-5. Deputy, comr. of the United Colonies. Rem. to Conn. With wife Margaret conveyed lands to [his brother,] Thomas Allyn of Baarnstaple, Eng. 17 (10) 1638. [L.] Thomas came later to Barnstable, N.E.

    "John, Barnstable, s. of Thomas, m. Mary HOWLAND, had John, b. 3 APr. 1671; Mary, 5 Aug. 1675, d. young; Matthew, 6 Aug. 1677, d. young; Isaac, 8 Nov.
    1679; and he rem. with his fam.

    Savage shows him dying Nov. 1680, at gr. age.

    Barnstable, N.E. sold to John Eells of Dorchester 8 July 1641, a
    house and lands in Barnstable, co. Devonshire. ENG.
    and also gave an order for money upon ;his brother Richard Allyn of
    the same place, yeoman. (See wills of Richard and other relations in

    wife of Samuel Sprague; rest to sons Samuel and John and dau.
    Mehetabel. Son-oin-law Samuel Annible one of the execs.
