    Notes:
    James started working on a fishing vessel on Cape Cod when 14 years old & continued for 14 years (1856-1870). Went to Battle Creek, Michigan for 1 year & thencame to Nebraska (June 1870-71) along with his brother Charles. Lived on his farm south of Craig until 1908 (38 years. Since 1918 when his wife died, he livedwith daughter & her husband (Nellie & Andrus Pond). ~ Obit. Craig News, 5/26/3
