    Notes:
    In 1806, Captain Samuel Throop and his wife Ruth moved to Pultneyville, NY. About this time Joseph Church, who was born in Palmyra, NY also moved to Pultneyville. Joseph was son of Sarah Selby. He lived with his grandfather, Jeremiah Selby, and learned the trade of carpentry from him. He practiced this for many years. (From Selby Stratton)
