To: Burrel Slocum, Simeon P. Slocum, and Jesse B. Slocum to ElijaPerry dated Aug. 3, 1844, Vol. 5, page 287. Bounded on the north by ElijaKinyon's, on the east by Azariah Main and Charles P. White and on thesouth by Charles P. White and Reuben S. and Bila W. P. Bennett, and onthe west by the highway leading from Pawcatuck Bridge to Voluntown,containing by estimation 40 acres, more or less, meaning and intending toconvey all the land and buildings that was set to the three of us in thedistribution of the Estate of our father, William Slocum.
NOTE: This in 1968 is the Martin Browne property at Laurel Glen. Duringthe ownership of the 3 brothers above, boundary on the north continued tothe Perry Kinyon, later Kenyon; EAST was the Bentley lot and land ofCharles P. White -- while later it was EAST by Azariah Maine and CharlesP. White; on the SOUTH it was White and R. A. Bennett & Son, while laterit was White and Reuben S. and Bila W. P. Bennett, probably the samepersons. The WEST continued to be the highway, later described as thehighway leading from Pawcatuck Bridge to Voluntown.

A. Bennett & Son., onthe west by the highway, with a dwelling house thereon standing.
