    The descendants of Stephen and Grace (Farrow) Manchester were obtained from Family Tree Works Volume 50, #1726. There is some confusing data.

    MANCHESTER Stephen 4th settler of Windham 1717 1809 He killed in battle, Chief Polin, May 14, 1756. Ending the Indian War in this section. Served five years and five months in the Revolution. After 58 years of age wintered at Valley Forge. His descendants erect this monument to his memory, 1915. Smith Cemetery, Windham, ME
