"Cooperstown- Mrs. Julia E. Southworth, 76, of 30 Lake Street, a
lifelong resident of theCooperstown area, died unexpectedly Sunday, May
11, at her home following acoronary attack. Funeral services will be at
2 p.m., Tuesday, May 13, at theIngalls Funeral Home, with the Rev.
Albert F. Almstedt, pastor of the UnitedMethodist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Hartwick Cemetery. Mrs. Southworth was born Sept. 8,
1892 in the Town of Hartwick, a daughter of Eugen and Flora (Bishop)
Jacobs. She was married to Earl Southworth in the Hartwick Methodist
Church on July 1, 1913. Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mrs.
Walter (Ruth) Staffin, and a son, Raymond E. Southworth, both of
Cooperstown; a granddaughter; two brothers, George Jacobs, New Lisbon,
and Charles Jacobs, .... [the obit ends here].

"Cooperstown - Mrs. Ruth E. Staffin, 44, of 61Elm Street,
Cooperstown, died unexpectedly Mon., Oct. 11, following a heart attack.
Mrs. Staffin was born on Dec. 8, 1931 at Fork Shop [?], the daughter of
Earl and Julia (Jacobs) Southworth. She attended the Cooperstown Central
School and was married to Walter E. Staffin on Nov. 18, 1950 in
Cooperstown.She was employed by the J. J. Newberry Company in
Cooperstown for the past 16years, and was manager of the lunch counter
there for the past 10 years. Mrs. Staffin was a member of the United
Methodist Church of Cooperstown. She issurvived by her husband; one
daughter, Mrs. Glynn (Beth) Mock of Paradise, Calif.; two granddaughters;
one brother, Raymond E. Southworth, Cooperstown. Also surviving are
cousins and two uncles. Funeral services will be held on Sunday Oct. 17
at the Ingalls, Connell and Dow Funeral Home in Cooperstown at 3p.m. The
Rev. Harold J. Saxton, retired pastor of the United Methodist Churchwill
officiate. The family will be in attendance on Saturday evening, Oct. 16
from 7 to 9 p.m. and friends may call at their convenience. Burial will
be in the Hartwick Cemetery."
