Another record says Lebby was born at Pleasant Valley Township, PA. In the 1870 Census the family was living at Mount Pleasant, Westmoreland Co., PA. 1880 the family was found in Pleasant Valley Township, near Pawnee Rock, in Pawnee County, Kansas. The family lived for two years in a dugout at Pawnee Rock. Nextthey moved to Dresden Township in Kingman Co., Kansas where they lived in a three room sod house which they built. Lebby's father ran acane mill there. Lebby owned a general store in Penalosa, Kingman Co., Kansas. The store carried everything from hardware to lace. He took part in the Cherokee Land Run in Oklahoma, 11 April 1889. He lived at Garber Oklahoma until his wife's death in 1901. He returned to Kansas, and later moved to Coffee Creek, Montana where he died.
