Jennings Freeway

Opened in 1968, the Jennings Freeway was built to aid motorists headed for the suburbs around Parma. The exit signs refers to is as State Route 176, not as the Jennings Freeway.
The Jennings Freeway was originally considered part of the Medina Freeway as shown in the notice that was sent out to all residents of the neighborhoods destined to be procured by the State of Ohio Highway Department. The notice provided information explaining what the procedure was.
In the Barbarowa neighborhood, the freeway took away:
- all the houses on Redman Avenue;
- the east side of West 15th Street north of Denison Avenue
- the east side of West 15th Street south of Denison Avenue
- the west side of West 14th Street north of Denison Avenue
- all of West 14th Street south of Denison Avenue
- the eastern part of Botany Avenue
